Italian Pesto sauce


 

Ingredients

  • 50 g basil leaves

  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 tsp of rock sea salt

  • 6 Tbs Parmesan cheese

  • 2 Tbs Pecorino cheese

  • 1 Tbs pine nuts

  • 100 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Method

  1. Place basil leaves, salt and pine nuts into the bowl of a food processor and pulse several times;

  2. Add garlic, Parmesan cheese and Pecorino cheese and pulse a couple more times;

  3. Turn on your food processor on low and while it is running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream until combined. Occasionally stop to scrape down the sides of your food processor;

  4. Stir some salt and pepper to taste and enjoy with your favorite pasta!
